Niobium Nickel Alloy

Nickel Niobium 60% finds its main application in the production of nickel based superalloys and special nickel steels.  Niobium is used as an additive in nickel-, iron- or cobalt-based superalloys. It not only has a high melting point of 2477°C, but is also resistant to corrosion and oxidation. Due to its high melting point and excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance, nickel niobium is a preferred component in superalloys used for parts that must withstand high temperatures.

Introduction of Niobium Nickel Alloy

Nickel Niobium 60% finds its main application in the production of nickel based superalloys and special nickel steels.

Niobium is used as an additive in nickel-, iron- or cobalt-based superalloys. It not only has a high melting point of 2477°C, but is also resistant to corrosion and oxidation.

Due to its high melting point and excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance, nickel niobium is a preferred component in superalloys used for parts that must withstand high temperatures.

Moreover, nickel niobium compensates for high-tension stresses, as well as shocks caused by vibration and impact. Refining steels with superalloys that contain niobium ensures optimized machine performance and fuel combustion, lower machine maintenance costs and a greater degree of safety. Nickel niobium slows material aging processes and prevents crack formation under thermal stress.

For this reason, our nickel niobium is a preferred component in superalloys used for parts that must withstand high temperatures. Moreover, nickel niobium compensates for high tension stresses as well as shocks caused by vibration and impact.

Applications of Niobium Nickel Alloy

1.Mainly used as a nodularizer for the manufacture of ductile cast iron.

2.The Magnesium in Ni-Nb can be added into molten steel more efficiently and safely so as to keep the output and the special property of the cast iron.

3.The Nb can be melted in nickel metal highly without any segreation, and the slow reaction performance of the Nb in the molten steel makes itself be an efficinet, economical and safe additive in base inro.Compared with other additives without Nb,it has a better recovery and can ensure that production is stable.

4.The Nickel in Ni-Nb alloys works as graphitizator and perlite stabilizer,so the tensile strength and mechanical property of the material can be imporved. Also with the application of the Ni-Nb,the variance of the light and heavy casting piece is reduced in the production. Moreover,it has excellent effect in austenite and bainite ductile cast iron.

5.The nickel-niobium is used in the production of special steels, stainless steels and superalloys for solid solution strengthening, precipitation hardening, deoxidation, desulphurization and many other processes.
