Introduction to ferro silicon magnesium
Silicon-iron-magnesium alloy is an important metallurgical alloy, mainly used in casting and smelting industries. It is composed of three elements: silicon, iron and magnesium. The silicon content is usually between 30% and 70%, and the magnesium content is 5% to 20%. The iron content is usually between 15% and 40%. At the same time, we may also add a small amount of rare earth elements such as cerium (Ce) or lanthanum (La) to improve the properties of the alloy.

FeSiMg alloy spheroidizing agent: can be used as an additive to promote the crystallization of graphite in ductile iron into a spherical shape, and can also cause the graphite in molten iron to precipitate in a spherical form.
Rare earth ferrosilicon magnesium nodularizers: turns flake graphite into spherical graphite, significantly improves the strength of cast iron, and has the functions of degassing, desulfurization and deoxidation.
Nickel-magnesium nodularizers: often used in the production of high-nickel austenitic ductile iron, so that the graphite balls after spheroidization are pure, have few inclusions, and are round after spheroidization.
Low aluminum nodularizers: For castings that are prone to subcutaneous porosity defects and castings that require low aluminum content in molten iron, low silicon nodulant is suitable for foundries that use a large amount of recycled materials.
Pure Ce and pure La nodularizers: added when casting iron, so that after spheroidization, there will be less pure inclusions and the graphite balls will be round.
Yttrium-based heavy rare earth spheroidizer: suitable for large-section castings, which can delay the decline of spheroidization and prevent the formation of lumpy graphite.
Antimony-containing nodulizing agent: used for pearlitic ductile iron.
Low silicon spheroidizing agent: suitable for foundries that use a large amount of recycled materials.

Silicon Magnesium Master Alloy
Magnesium silicon master alloy refers to an alloy formed by melting silicon and magnesium. It is a good spheroidizer and has a strong deoxidation and desulfurization effect.
Magnesium silicon alloy is generally used to make magnesium alloys. Magnesium alloys are the lightest structures and are therefore suitable for the automotive industry, which has increased concerns about vehicle weight and fuel economy. Silicon lowers the melting temperature without causing brittleness, increases fluidity, and reduces hot tearing.
