Electrolytic manganese flakes are silver-gray in appearance and have good metallic luster. They use manganate solution as electrolyte. Under the action of current, metallic manganese is precipitated on the anode in the electrolytic cell to form irregular flakes. It is hard and brittle. One side is bright and the other side is rough. The color is usually gray-silver white and brown.
