Introduction to Black silicon carbide
Black silicon carbide is a non-metallic ceramic material composed of carbon and silicon elements. Black silicon carbide has very high hardness, belonging to Mohs hardness level 9.5, second only to diamond and cubic boron nitride.
The high hardness of silicon carbide gives it excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in the fields of abrasives, wear-resistant materials and cutting tools.
The silicon carbide material produced by Zhen’an Metallurgical Materials is calcined in a high-power resistance furnace, with a smelting time of more than 200 hours. High-purity, well-crystallized first-grade silicon carbide blocks are used as raw materials.
